Technology Learning Area

Technology offers a range of subjects and caters for a wide range of student’s skills and interests. The subject uses the latest Technology which includes Computer Aided Design and includes a variety of software programs and Computer Aided Manufacture using the latest 3 Dimensional Printing and Laser cutting and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Technology.

Technology subjects lead into apprenticeship courses, pre-apprenticeship courses, technical institutes and university. The practical nature of technology subjects make them ideal for students who are considering entering tertiary study, industry courses or moving straight into the work force.

Each subject area has its own entry requirements and students should speak with the Head of Department or subject teachers prior to selecting a course. The department has strict occupational health and safety standards so students must display maturity at all times.
