Performing Arts

The Year 10 Performing Arts programme consists of both Dance and Drama. All students must undertake a dance unit and a drama unit, after which students may choose what subject they wish to continue with for the remainder of the rotation.

Students will develop and expand their knowledge of the elements of dance and choreographic devices, and the elements, conventions and techniques of drama they were introduced to in Year 9. Students will continue to develop and refine their performance skills.

This course is designed as a foundation to Level One NCEA Dance and Drama and it is highly recommended that students who wish to take senior Dance and/or Drama take this course.
