Level One Mathematics - MAT100A

NCEA Level 1 Mathematics course is compulsory for all year 11 students. In order to gain NCEA Level 1 certificate, students will need to meet the numeracy requirement, a minimum of 10 numeracy credits. A wide range of achievement standards have been identified as eligible to meet the numeracy requirements.

This course aims to build confidence and problem-solving skills in Mathematics. It offers application of mathematics and statistics concepts that students will use in their lives outside of school.

Only internal achievement standards will be offered, allowing students to gain their level 1 numeracy but it does not offer a subject endorsement.
